The footer visitor counter uses an anonymous browser identifier stored locally and a server-side count so totals can persist after restarts.

PepDiana is designed as an open research database. The public website does not require user accounts or login for browsing, searching, API access, or downloads.
No account profile
Favorites and comparison sets are stored in the browser. They are not uploaded as personal user profiles.
Server logs
Production web servers may retain operational logs for security, uptime, and debugging. Logs should not be used for profiling individual researchers.
